1) HANDICAP RULES (WHS/USGA)

Maximum Handicap Eligibility

• Max Handicap Index: 36.4

• Max Playing Handicap: 32.4

Individual Stroke Play

• Net scoring uses 95% of each player’s Course Handicap.

• Net Score = Gross Score − Playing Handicap.

Scramble Series (2‑Player Teams)

• Team Handicap = 35% of lower CH + 15% of higher CH.

• Max Course Handicap used = 32.4.

• Net Score = Gross Score − Team Handicap.

Handicaps lock 24 hours before the event.

2) GROSS PURSE STRUCTURE — “6‑SHOT RULE”

1. Determine the lowest Course Handicap (Individual) or lowest combined team handicap (Scramble).

2. Gross Window = lowest + 6 shots.

3. The Gross Window is used only to size the Gross purse — anyone can win Gross, regardless of handicap.

Gross Pool Funding

• Individual Events: $10 from the entry‑fee prize pool is allocated to the Gross Pool for each golfer within 6 shots of the lowest handicap.

• Scramble Series Events: $20 from the entry‑fee prize pool is allocated to the Gross Pool for each team within 6 shots of the lowest combined team handicap.

Examples

• Individual event → 7 within 6 shots of the lowest handicap × $10 = $70 Gross Pool

• Scramble event → 7 within 6 shots of the lowest handicap × $20 = $140 Gross Pool

Gross Payouts

• Pays approximately the top third of the Gross group (rounded up)

3) CREDITS, CHITS & OPTIONAL SIDE GAMES

Credits / Chits

• Valid for AGTNE entry fees and memberships only

• Cannot be used for side games

• No cash value; non‑transferable

Optional Side Games for Individual Events

• Gross Skins – $10

• Gross Skins Plus – $20

• Gross Sweep – $5

• Net Skins – $5

• Net Skins Plus – $15

• Net Sweep – $5

• Zero’s – $5

• Zero’s Plus – $10

• CTP – $2 (hardest par‑3 front nine)

Optional Side Games for Scramble Series Events

• Gross Skins – $10

• Net Skins – $10

4) PRIZE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM (ALL FORMATS)

A) Establish the Gross Window (6‑Shot Rule)

• Lowest CH (IND) or lowest combined team handicap (SCR) → add 6 shots → Gross Window created.

• Gross Window sizes the Gross purse — anyone can win Gross.

B) Net Receives the Rest

After the Gross purse is funded, all remaining prize‑fund dollars automatically go to the Net purse — except $2 CTP from each Individual event entry.

C) Places Paid & Normalization

• Both Gross and Net pay approximately the top third of their group (rounded up), max 20 places.

• Payout percentages are normalized to 100% of each purse.

D) Rounding (No Overage)

• All payouts rounded DOWN to whole dollars; leftover dollars distributed $1 to 1st → $1 to 2nd → $1 to 3rd → repeat.

E) Season Awards

• Top 6 individuals earn a FREE 2027 AGTNE Membership (3 Gross + 3 Net) in both IND and Scramble Series.

5) ENTRY FEE ALLOCATION & PRIZE POOL FUNDING

Individual Stroke Play (above course fee = $36)

• $14 Operational Support

• $2 Year‑Long CTP

• $20 Prize Pools (Gross + Net)

Scramble Series (above course fee = $72/team)

• $28 Operational Support ($14/golfer)

• $44 Prize Pools (Gross + Net)

• No CTP funds taken in Scramble formats

6) TRANSPARENCY & RESULTS

AGTNE publishes:

• Gross & Net results

• Handicap & scoring notes

• Full payout summaries

• Player of the Year point standings

7) GUEST ENTRY FEES

• Guests receive a $10 discount off the tournament entry fee in IND events only.

• Fee breakdown: $14 operations, $10 administration, $2 Year‑Long Hole‑in‑One Pool (members only).

• Guests cannot compete for Gross or Net prize pools (Guest can enter into the optional side games if they have an established GHIN handicap).

• Guests do not earn seasonal points (member‑only credit).

8) REFERRAL PROGRAM

• Members receive an $80 AGTNE credit for each new member referral.

9) AGTNE GIVEBACKS & ADDED VALUE

AGTNE reinvests heavily back into players through:

• Advertising, website hosting, tournament management systems

• Golf Genius — Licensing, Live Scoring, and event technology

• $1,000 added to each of the four IND Major Championships

• Player of the Year (POY) – INDIVIDUAL EVENTS (Gross & Net): Total $1,344

   – 1st: $175 credit + FREE next‑year membership ($99 value)

   – 2nd: $125 credit + FREE next‑year membership ($99 value)

   – 3rd: $75 credit + FREE next‑year membership ($99 value)

• Player of the Year (POY) – SCRAMBLE SERIES (Gross & Net): Total $594

   – 1st: FREE next‑year membership ($99 value)

   – 2nd: FREE next‑year membership ($99 value)

   – 3rd: FREE next‑year membership ($99 value)

• Additional administrative and technology investments supporting fairness, transparency, and competitive integrity.

10) REGISTRATION, CANCELLATIONS & TEE SHEET

• Register early — courses open sheets 1 week to 1 month ahead.

• Payouts will be paid by Chits (NEAT Credits onsite at the next event). Optional side games will be paid onsite at the next event by cash. Events that include pro-shop credits will be distributed the day of the event.

• Confirmation emails sent for tournaments and side games.

• Edits allowed until posted deadline; afterward contact AGTNE.

• Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a $20 fee.

• Tee sheet posted by 12 PM the day before the event.

• Final confirmation email and text sent by 5 PM the day before.
